Why We Built National Smash Open 2027
Anyone who has spent a weekend at a traditional badminton tournament knows the biggest frustration for athletes and parents alike: playing a 20-minute match, then sitting in the bleachers for four hours waiting for your next court call.
We designed National Smash Open 2027 from the ground up to fix that. By enforcing strict entry caps per bracket and running 8 indoor courts simultaneously inside the University of Regina’s KHS Gymnasium, every competitor gets intense, well-timed court action without hours of wasted downtime.
Every registered athlete receives:
- 8 Dedicated Indoor Courts running simultaneously from first serve to championship finals
- Fast-Paced Championship Schedule engineered for a punctual 6:00 PM finish
- Premium Tournament Shuttles supplied for all matches
- Custom Medals & Championship Trophies across all 20 divisions
- Grand Unified Awards Podium Ceremony from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Because National Smash Open 2027 is an independent open tournament, no Badminton Canada or Sask Badminton membership is required to enter. Whether you train with our National Smash Badminton Academy, play on your school team, compete at a local club, or play recreationally across Saskatchewan, you are welcome on our courts.
